Microsoft SecondLight Surface
"SecondLight works by replacing the standard glass table-top of the Surface with an LCD panel. This can switch rapidly between frosted - as with the normal Surface - or transparent, doing so at a rate imperceivable to the human eye. The projector underneath this LCD panel is synchronized to display either the standard image, when the LCD is frosted, or the secondary image, when the LCD is transparent.
In this way, both images are produced sequentially but at such a speed that the eye believes them to be simultaneous. Alternative uses suggested included showing more detailed mapping data on the handheld display, when held over a satellite image, and plotting out star constellations when held over an image of the night sky. Microsoft have not given any indication of whether this development to Surface will be included in future versions of the table."

Design For Poverty
Just go to Yanko Design for more info. This is just first place, there are many more. That is all.
"Rain water is a largely untapped resource, especially in many developing countries where clean water is scarce. Water harvesting consists of three main components: a catchment area (generally a roof), a gutter system and a water storage area. The water storage area is by far the most expensive portion of this system, which makes it out of reach for many families. The RainDrops system simply allows people to adapt standard plastic bottles to an existing gutter system to collect rain water. This changes water storage from the most to the least expensive part of the system. These are much easier to clean and replace than larger storage units. The repurposing of these plastic bottles will also give value to many bottles that are otherwise headed for landfills. Corruption in the water sector is a real problem in many developing countries. The scalability of this system helps to give more power to the communities in need."

"Put simply its a tiny machine with lots of ports. Maybe just a small box. Just a tiny phone like display. Idea is that its just a portable machine. Connects using synergy to mouse and keyboard, also has plenty of USBs if needed. Ideally connects to everything without wires. Full HD capabilities."

Honda Car - The Great Race 2025.
Text from designer :
Source: Tuvie
In 1908, 17 men dared to take on the “toughest race ever devised.” Spanning six months, the Great Race brought these men over 22,000 miles, through three continents and around the world. 117 years later, the Great Race of 2025 is tougher than ever.
Competitors must circumnavigate the globe in 24 hours on land through the United States, by sea through Asia and by air over Europe.
The vehicle’s sonar/echolocation sensors are able to detect changes in speed, terrain, and altitude, allowing it to switch to any configuration. With expertise in automotive, marine, robotics, and jet technologies already in place, Honda possesses a distinct, competitive advantage over its rivals, allowing it to lead in the evolution of motorsports in the 21st century.

Sexy Bug Zapper
I don't condone killing bugs in anyway. But a friend of YST really really hates them and smiles everytime he hears the zap of another bug dying in his zapper.

OLED Display 0.05mm Thick
OLED is amazing, looks amazing, is amazing. This is a quite difficult to comprehend but is a clue to where things are going. Yes you did read that correctly, it's a ridicules 0.05mm thin. Specs include a luminance of 200cd/m2 and a seemingly crap 480 × 272 resolution.
